The book

Executive Remuneration: Law and Practice is forthcoming from Oxford University Press. The book provides detailed analysis of the law and authorities; the posts here are shorter and deal with developments as they occur.

What the site covers

Posts deal with new decisions, legislation, regulatory rules and consultations affecting how executive pay is structured, approved, disclosed, taxed, adjusted and recovered, and with the disputes that follow, particularly when an executive leaves.

The author

Edward Brown KC practises in commercial and employment law, often in matters where the two intersect, as disputes over executive pay frequently do. His work includes disputes concerning bonuses, share and incentive awards and leaver provisions; restrictive covenants and team moves; the departure of senior executives; and shareholder and partnership disputes.

He acts in financial services regulatory matters and arbitration, and is on the list of arbitrators of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). He is also a contributor to Company Directors: Duties, Liabilities and Remedies (Oxford University Press).
